Translator Gets 10 Years for Spying

www.military.com A translator who lied about his identity to get U.S. citizenship and kept copies of classified documents about the Iraqi insurgency was sentenced to 10 years in prison May 19, Justice Department officials said. The man, whose true identity and nationality remain unknown, was employed in August 2003 as an Army translator in Iraq by the major private contracting firm L-3 Titan Corp, the Justice Department said.
