I'M THICK!! : Are Black Women in Denial About Their Health??

thefitnessgoddess.blogspot.com - You have all heard these words thrown around; Thick, Voluptuous, etc. But what do these words really mean? Are women that use these words to describe themselves considered to be healthy? Is the popularity of terms like "Thick", "F.A.T." (Fabulous and Thick) increasing obesity in Black Women?

For those of you who don't know, Mo'Nique has a radio show now and today they replayed some of her past shows since it was a holiday (4th of July) and her show began on the 23rd of June this year. Anyway, she reflected on a time when her husband walked into the bathroom when she was naked and asked how much she weighed, she told him, he mentioned how she, too struggled with walking up flights up stairs, and how much he wanted her tp be around for a long time. The show was about when a man loves you that much, you can't take it personal. It's about listening to yourself and what it means to be healthy, not only for yourself but for your loved ones and I happen to agree with that.
